Unlocking ADHD with 5 Brain-Body Strategies That Work

Why Movement, Regulation, and Reflexes Change Everything with Alisha Grogan MOT, OTR/L

Learn brain-based, research-backed strategies you can actually use—whether you’re a parent or a therapist.

The Challenges ADHD Kids Face…

a little girl resting her hands on her hands with many words buzzing around her head: zones out, disorganized, struggles to follow directions, impulsive, loses things, unfocused, forgetful, distracted, always moving, needs constant correction

Many kids feel stress, confusion, and a sense of being “less than” as they try to keep up, despite incredible strengths like creativity, spontaneity, passion, humor, and empathy.

The toll is real.

By age 12, a child with ADHD may hear 20,000 more negative messages than a neurotypical peer (Barkley, 2008). That’s why it’s critical to understand what’s really going on—and how to help.

More kids than ever are being diagnosed with ADHD. Do you know how to support them?

We are seeing ADHD diagnoses soar. But most families (and even professionals) are only given surface-level strategies. This workshop goes deeper—giving you a clear picture of how to support kids with ADHD through the lens of brain science, movement, and regulation.

What You’ll Learn in the Unlocking ADHD Workshop:

  1. How ADHD really works in the brain—and what that means for everyday life
  2. Why dopamine matters—and how to work with the ADHD brain
  3. 5 game-changing strategies you can start using immediately
  4. A fresh approach to core ADHD struggles
  5. How retained primitive reflexes could be the missing piece

This is more than a workshop.

It’s an ADHD game plan that includes:

This is Personal (and Professional)

I’ve been a licensed pediatric occupational therapist for over 20 years and have supported countless families navigating ADHD. But last year, one of my own children received the diagnosis—and everything changed.

As a parent, I had a whole new perspective of just how much ADHD is misunderstood, how support can fall short, and how easily unfair labels get used (like lazy, “not putting in the effort,” and inconsiderate).

This experience has deepened my mission to not only understand ADHD more fully—but to bring families and professionals strategies that actually help. The kind rooted in brain science, movement, and practical tools that make everyday life easier and build long-term skills. The cutting edge strategies I’m using with my son—and seeing progress with!

I’m also the founder of Your Kid’s Table, The Connection Hive—a monthly membership for parents—and the CEU course RISE with Sensory for Therapists.

This is for you if…

You’re a parent trying to help your child with ADHD (diagnosed or suspected)

You’re a therapist or educator working with neurodivergent kids

You want to go beyond surface-level strategies and learn about the power of holistic, brain-body support
